Gao Zhenpeng 高振鹏

“ Many things are worth contemplating, but art is not one of them; art is for doing, appreciating, and experiencing. ”

— Gao Zhenpeng

Born in 1987, Beijing-based artist Gao Zhenpeng graduated from Central Academy of Fine Arts, with a degree in Printmaking and then in Experimental Art. As part of China’s new generation of artists, Gao works across mediums like printmaking, digital art, painting, video, and installation. He emphasises the importance of participative new media art forms that engage the public, believing art’s role is to provide an appealing pathway for people to interact with the vast concept of culture.

Gao observes a gap between the masses and contemporary art in today’s society, while his creative objective lies in aiming to bridge such gap using images as a universal language for the new media era.
