Li Shun is currently based in Hangzhou. The city of Hangzhou inspired Li Shun greatly with the intersection of traditional Chinese aesthetics and contemporary thoughts. His works focus on the innovative expression of traditional Chinese philosophical thoughts and explore various art media. Photography serves as a primary source of Li’s inspiration, with light playing an absolute role, and the transition between positive and negative images becoming the logical foundation of his works. Li’s art presents diverse states, with a particular emphasis on the expressive power of various media.

Awards includes: Finalist in the 2023 SOVEREIGN Outstanding Asian Art Awards, selected for the 2020 China Photography Annual Ranking, Top 20 Chinese Emerging Photographers in 2021 and 2017, nominated for the 2020 Jimei-Arles Discovery Award, Silver Award at the 2015 Beijing Minsheng Modern Art Museum Opening Exhibition, and more.
