Xu Ming Hao 徐明皓

In Xu Ming Hao’s early works, he enjoys depicting the sea to express the beauty and force of nature, alongside the eternal passage of time. In recent years, his focus has shifted to “rivers” and “lakes,” infused with a study of society and historical depth. Xu Ming Hao’s artistic technique remains consistent, using dots, lines, and shapes to add three-dimensional space to the two-dimensional plane. This three-dimensional aspect changes with the artwork’s spatial positioning, variations in light, and the viewer’s perspective, aiming to achieve a fluid and dynamic effect.

Throughout the years, Xu Ming Hao has consistently explored the phenomenon of “reflections on water surfaces.” I deeply appreciate the shimmering sensation of these reflections, where beneath the layer of beautiful light lies an indescribable strength. It allows me to forget about time and space.
